Before we start off with the recommendations, I want to mention my size for reference. I currently weigh 4.5 kg, and my back length is 30cm.

The Luggage Carrier by @your_moving_castle

One of our most asked carriers is this luggage carrier by @your_moving_castle. It looks super cute and is totally on topic with the travel theme. What we love about this carrier is that you never get tired from carrying your fur baby. It can be transformed into a backpack, or be used as a regular carry-on luggage for your stuff.

Pros:

  • cute

  • can be transformed into a backpack

  • good for dogs with heavier weight

Cons:

  • exceeds the dimensions of pet carrier for flights

  • only available in some countries

  • functional

  • low key, cute looking

The Snuggit Sac

Our travel must-have is definitely the Snuggit sac, it is where functionality meets aesthetic. This is the only sling that I am in it comfortably and securely. This sling is perfect because it is lightweight, and does not take up space in your luggage. The dog is secured and in front of you. We used it when the environment is crowded or when we are on a subway.

The snuggit sac comes in a variety of colors and materials. The sizing is based on the dog's weight and the human's height. For the right sizing, contact their customer support via email.

The Expandable Dog Carrier for Air Travels

ree

We recently got this pet carrier for our next trip to Japan. Since it's going to be a long flight, we chose this one with an expandable pocket so I can have more space. This carrier is also foldable which is perfect when we are not using it. We haven't flown with this carrier yet, but we are loving it so far.

Pros:

  • expandable

  • foldable

  • compatible with most airlines

Cons:

  • collapses when one of the side doors opens
